This highly participatory online workshop helps individuals and organizations develop, implement, and maintain effective financial management systems to be eligible for USAID funding, reduce audit risk, and build effective collaboration across the organization.

Our expert facilitators will offer you and your team the most comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals of financial management of USAID funding, including budget management, maximizing cost recovery, and how to deal with donor audits and reviews.

• Develop and manage budgets in support of programmatic success
• Compile and assess accurate financial statements
• Identify financial system basics required to be eligible for USAID funding
• Prepare and manage the audit process according to funding guidelines
• Apply methods for recovering indirect costs

This workshop is designed for:

• Finance, compliance, and program staff who manage budgets and reconcile activity costs with program budgets.

It’s highly recommended that both finance and program staff from within an organization attend together.

Pre-requisite: USAID Rules & Regulations: Grants and Cooperative Agreements or USAID Contract Management for NGOs: An Introduction.

You’ll need to earn points for completing various tasks (such as watching videos, uploading assignments, group tasks, and interacting with others). The more tasks you complete, the more points you’ll earn. You’ll need to reach a minimum target points score, submit assignments and contribute to discussions in order to pass the workshop.
